What do you like most about your job?
The ideas behind the name Sindyanna of Galilee – cooperation, reciprocity, brotherhood, and unconditional love, simply doing good in this world. I see how these values are put into practice at Sindyanna – this connected very much to my personal values.
How has your life changed since you started working at Sindyanna?
Regarding the quality of the food – I thought olive oil was not for frying or cooking but only for use in salads. But since I came to Sindyanna, I have only been using olive oil. All the other kinds of ‘pure’ oils do not enter my home.
Tell us about a significant moment you experienced at work
When two of our customers from Japan and Austria arrived and proudly told us about how they distribute Sindyanna’s products in their countries, and that it is important for them to share Sindyanna’s values with their employees.
What values are you passing on to your children, and have they changed as a result of working at Sindyanna?
The values I raised my children with are that peace, brotherhood, partnership and living together will be built by ordinary people without government ‘titles’ – that is, we the citizens, and these are the values they pass on to my grandchildren as well.
What special family recipe you like to prepare using Sindyanna oil?
Oh wow, there are many! Pasta and shashuka star in my kitchen with Sindyanna’s olive oil, and most of all my grandmother’s recipe for carob syrup cake.
What is your favorite variety of olive oil and why?
Suri or Cortina since I love their bittersweet taste and the special aroma that these varieties have.
